DreamHack Open January Europe will take place on 27-31 January, with eight teams competing at the event. A BO3 GSL group stage will lead up to single-elimination playoffs, where a champion of the $70,000 event will be crowned after a BO5 grand final.

Teams such as BIG, Gambit, and Evil Geniuses are competing at the tournament, as well as FunPlus Phoenix, who will be available for selection in the Fantasy game after their full lineup is announced.

For users playing fantasy, BIG players will surely be enticing as their poor end-of-2020 form sees them priced fairly cheaply. The tenth best player of last year, Florian "⁠syrsoN⁠" Rische, comes in for just $212,000, while Ismailcan "⁠XANTARES⁠" Dörtkardeş costs $207,000.

Other enticing options are Spirit duo Abdul "⁠degster⁠" Gasanov and Nikolay "⁠mir⁠" Bityukov, as well as Gambit's Sergey "⁠Ax1Le⁠" Rykhtorov and Dmitry "⁠sh1ro⁠" Sokolov, albeit their pricetags are significantly higher than those of the aforementioned BIG players.

Users competing in the official HLTV x CS.money Fantasy league will have a chance to win the following prizes:
